I'm often inspired by my community and Skinny's story is well, very inspiring. Enjoy! —Tyler

I am just an average (maybe below average) guy that was lucky enough to have met a girl named "Pauline". She turned my life from being very ordinary into things that were extraordinary. And it continues. After she passed, I have attempted to honor her by doing something positive every once in a while in her memory. Last year I had this idea of she and I taking a long paddle board together (some of her ashes taped to my board) from Chacala to Lo de Marcos. In the planning process - BOOM - I ran into Dave Martinez, Bruno Bonazzo and Tyler Henshaw. And that little dream became a 10 day, 60 mile "extraordinary" Odyssey from Chacala to Puerto Vallarta that raised some money for La Casa de Los Niños and started lifetime friendships.
And the kicker was - when the Odyssey ended in Puerto Vallarta, I untaped her ashes and sprinkled them in the water. Right then I felt her telling me that she didn't want to quit - she wanted to keep going!! That's the way she was!!
This year I decided to honor her by working on the dirt road to Venados here in Lo de Marcos. So I worked on it for a few weeks slowly making some progress, but it seemed like a daunting task at best and sometimes I wondered if it would have an ending. And then - BOOM - a road grader shows up and in two days the road was done. COINCIDENCE - sure it was! But I am still going to believe that she had a hand in it!! That's the way she was! I miss her so! She was a good one!!
